Hanalei Beach

Hanalei Beach is a beautiful sandy beach located on Hanalei Bay on Kauai's north coast.  It is a popular destination for sun worshippers and surfers.

The bay attracts many yachters during the calm summer months.  During the winter, however, it is a magnet for big-wave surfers.

Hanalei Bay and valley was once home to a large Hawaiian community.  It was an important harbor for whaling and trade vessels.

Waioli Beach Park is located next to Hanalei Beach.
